Tarot-sized cards based on Final Fantasy XIV, this project kickstarted a small business, Strawbee Crafts.
During a conversation with friends over our favorite game - Final Fantasy XIV - an idea sparked surrounding my favorite class -the Astrologian - who features the use of tarot-like cards to cast magic spells on allies. The idea was to design a full deck of cards using my own unique concept, eventually printing them as a real, physical deck of collectible cards.
With much joy and love poured into this project, a beautifully crafted set of backer rewards were delivered to happy customers.
I designed beautiful, elaborate designs for each card using Adobe Illustrator, then using Photoshop to apply filters, overlays and adjustments, creating a visually stunning design. This project was then submitted as a Kickstarter project which received full funding, allowing me to print several decks of cards, and using the success and surplus funds to kickstart my own personal business, Strawbee Crafts where I continue to sell these cards to this day.
Each deck of cards consists of 22 cards, and 5 variants of the deck were created. Decks include a satin black tote bag for storing the deck when not in use. In addition, enamel pins, a collectible 3D-printed "job stone", and computer wallpapers were designed and included as Kickstarter rewards. The enamel pins continue to be sold through the Strawbee Craft store front.
